Hybrid Wheat Breeding Intern

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, USA

You will: 

  • Build marketing initiatives & tactical content for the US seeds business
  • Learn product management fundamentals
  • Learn how data science and predictive analytics inform marketing objectives
  • Training is provided in-house and guidance is provided by management and marketing
  • Develop skills and experience to further your career

Accountabilities:

  • Implement brand and product objectives
  • Provide market intelligence and territory opportunity information, maintain CRM data as part of the process
  • Advise sales team and channel partners on presentation of products and promotional materials
  • Manage simple customer relationships regardless of direct or indirect channel
  • Identify and analyze customer needs to the sales management and marketing organization
  • Develop basic product knowledge
  • Receive direction and assistance from marketing brand and communication leaders

To support that challenge, the Commercial team is currently seeking a Seeds Brand Marketing Intern Intern, located in Lincoln, Nebraska. As an intern, you will be responsible for designing experiments, field and lab preparation, routine maintenance, and data analysis. You will be provided the opportunity of being exposed to research activities, allowing you to apply academic background and ultimately be exposed to both Production & Supply and Research & Development at Syngenta.

Qualifications

Experience required:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline, with a graduation date on or after December 2025
  • Requires developed specialized skills, or a breadth of skills, through job-related training, on-the-job experience, and course work
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

Additional Information

  • A demonstrated passion for agriculture and food production is a definite asset
  • Knowledge of marketing processes, data insights & analytics, agronomics, general cropping practices, agricultural technology and trends and requirements for pest control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead, be self-directed and to work as part of a team
