New iron deficiency chlorosis webcast published in Focus on Soybean resource

USA
September 27, 2011

New Iron Deficiency Chlorosis Webcast Published in Focus on Soybean Resource In high pH soils, Iron Deficiency Chlorosis, or IDC, can cause significant yield reductions in soybean fields. In addition, IDC is sometimes misunderstood.

It's not caused by a lack of iron in the soil, rather it is due to an inability of soybeans to utilize that iron.

The latest Focus on Soybean presentation, authored by Dr. Daniel Kaiser, Soil and Plant Nutrition Extension Specialist at the University of Minnesota, discusses IDC's cause and management strategies to increase soybean yields in the presence of IDC.

Growers, consultants, and other agricultural professionals can view this presentation at http://www.plantmanagementnetwork.org/edcenter/seminars/IDC/.
