Pamela C. Ronald is a Professor at the University of California, Davis, in the Department of Plant Pathology and the Genome Center, and also serves as Director of Grass Genetics at the Joint BioEnergy Institute. She is currently on sabbatical leave at IRD in Montpellier.

Pamela Ronald a axé sa présentation sur le développement des outils génétiques qui contribuent à favoriser une production alimentaire respectueuse de l'environnement.
Elle a également présentée son ouvrage "Tomorow's Table: Organic Farming, Genetics and the future of food", co-rédigé avec Raoul Adamchak, son époux, professionnel de l'agriculture biologique.
Pamela Ronald est actuellement accueillie au centre IRD de Montpellier dans l'UMR "Résistance des plantes aux bioagresseurs" (IRD Cirad, UM2), dirigé par Michel Nicole.
