Wyffels Hybrids intensifies agronomic support

Geneseo, Illinois, USA
May 8, 2020

The number one corn only seed company in the industry continues to intensify its support of corn growers. Wyffels Hybrids has added Eric Wilson and Dr. Vince Davis to its agronomic arsenal.

“When customers think corn, we want them to think Wyffels, from seeding to harvest,” Mitch Heisler, Wyffels Hybrids Product and Agronomy Manager said. “We continue to add resources to ensure that our sales team and seed representatives are the authority in the field when it comes to the nation’s largest crop.”

Corn growers can continue to expect Wyffels Hybrids to take a leadership position in the field with these latest additions. This spring, Wyffels introduced another 12 new premium hybrids in a range of maturities and trait packages. Additional agronomic support further enables growers to select the right mix of hybrids for their specific needs and environment, and helps to make sure those hybrids perform to their maximum potential.

Eric Wilson resides in Algona, IA, and is in the process of finishing his Ph.D. in Crop Science from the University of Minnesota. Eric has worked with Iowa and Minnesota growers throughout this career and has a wealth of experience with agronomic training and precision farming. He is passionate about serving corn growers and embraces new challenges - helping corn growers maximize their productivity.

Dr. Vince Davis obtained his Ph.D. in Weed Science from Purdue University, and currently resides in Brooklyn, WI. Vince is an expert agronomist, trainer, and teacher, having spent time within the state extension services of IL and WI, as well as in technical service and sales positions within BASF. Vince has built a career focused on serving farmers on the front lines, and he remains deeply connected to the challenges and opportunities they face today.

“Our number one priority is to provide the best possible product, customer service, and support to American corn growers. It’s all we think about. We believe this focus allows us to be a true, unbiased resource to our customers,” Wyffels Hybrids President John Wyffels said. “Eric and Vince are respected agronomic leaders in our industry and we couldn’t be happier for them to join our team.”
