The Climate Corporation (Climate), a subsidiary of Bayer, announced today Ranjeeta Singh will join the company as the new Chief Product Officer to drive product strategy and product roadmap plans for Climate FieldView™, agriculture’s leading digital platform.

“Ranjeeta is an outstanding addition to the Climate team,” says Mike Stern, CEO, The Climate Corporation. “Her experience in scaling product and design to deliver powerful insights to customers will be invaluable. I am thrilled to have such an experienced and visionary leader join us as we continue to advance and accelerate our capabilities.”

Ranjeeta brings more than 23 years of expertise in a unique combination of hardware, software and services experience with roles spanning from strategy, product management, roadmap planning, product marketing, business operations, program management, engineering, architecture and incubation of new IOT businesses to her new role at Climate. Most recently, Ranjeeta served as vice president and general manager of data science and artificial intelligence (AI) at Teradata, focused on driving AI capabilities in the Teradata platform and making it a solid workbench for data scientists. Prior to that, Ranjeeta spent 18 years at Intel.

“Climate FieldView is the clear leader in the market, covering millions of farm acres globally,” says Singh. “As technology continues to evolve, farmers need a strong platform to effectively manage their operations. Climate’s strong R&D vision combined with the company’s collaboration with Bayer and customers is a winning formula for long-term success in this important, growing industry. I look forward to the opportunity to further develop this vision for FieldView’s current and future offerings.”

Singh will be based in San Francisco, Calif. She holds a bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India, a master’s in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York and a MBA from Santa Clara University. She is the recipient of the "Top 50 under 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology" award.

Climate’s mission is to help the world’s farmers sustainably increase their productivity through the use of digital tools. First launched in the U.S. in 2015, Climate FieldView is the flagship product of The Climate Corporation, the digital farming arm of Bayer. FieldView gives farmers a deeper understanding of their fields so they can make more informed operating decisions to optimize yields, maximize efficiency and reduce risk.
