NASC with the support of key stakeholders have developed innovative tools to help in tackling circulation of adulterated seeds in Nigeria. These digital tools known as the Seed Tracker and SEEDCODEX, will help to monitor certification process electronically and authenticate the genuineness of seeds, amongst other benefits.

These innovations are also in line with emerging trends and international best practices as it helps to reduce paper work and enhance transparency and safety of data.

This training workshop was therefore, borne out of the need to scale up this digitization process and improve the capacity of NASC Seed Certification Officers in the use of these tools.
