Alexander Drotschmann, who has led KWS’ corn and soybean business in North and South America since 2014, will retire from KWS in October 2022.

During the upcoming months, he will transition all operational responsibilities for South America effective January 1, 2022, and the North America KWS and AgReliant board seats effective August 2022 to Nicolás Wielandt, Head of Business Unit Corn Europe.

“Alexander has in the past 7 years led the formation of our very successful Corn and Oilcrops Business Unit in North and South America that has now become one of the strongest growth areas in the KWS Group. He also chaired the Members Committee of our North American Joint Venture AgReliant during the last 6 years ensuring consistent board leadership to the AgReliant executive team. All of us at KWS wish him the very best for the future as he transitions into the next phase of his life”, commented Dr. Hagen Duenbostel, CEO of KWS.
