CROPLAN® seed has added to its soybean seed lineup to provide growers with the best traits, technologies and agronomic packages. This includes 24 new products that feature some of the industry’s leading traits, such as XtendFlex and Enlist, and novel proprietary WinPak® blended varieties. In addition, CROPLAN growers will have access to the new Ascend® ST3™ seed treatment from WinField United to help protect their seed investments.
Knowing weed management is near the top of the soybean seed selection criteria, Xtendflex and Enlist E3 varieties provide exceptional weed control and tolerances to commonly used herbicides.
“These varieties were hand-selected by our team of local product managers, who work closely with local retail partners to ensure our new product advancements address challenges growers are facing in their fields,” said Hector De Leon, Ph.D., Director — Seed Products, CROPLAN seed. “As always, CROPLAN seed provides strong yield potential with solid agronomics.”
These additions to the CROPLAN soybean offering cover a wide range of maturity dates and feature strong disease packages, allowing growers to ensure their seed is well-suited for their fields. They also are backed by 25-plus years of testing and more than 6 million Answer Plot® data points annually, plus the very best retail network to see the seed through from planting to harvest.
For growers who work closely with local ag retailers, WinPak varieties may not be a new concept. These offerings are an excellent choice for fields with variable soil conditions, as they blend two high-performing and complementary varieties into a single bag so growers can make the most of the toughest areas and drive performance in optimal growing areas.
“Whether it’s a field with poor drainage, tough soils or disease pressure, we have a wide range of soybean seed to choose from so a grower can protect the ROI potential in their fields,” said De Leon. “Or better yet, if a field presents the opportunity to push yield potential, we have the genetics that offer top-end yield ability.”
Early-season stress mitigation with new Ascend® ST3TM Seed Treatment
Ascend ST3 seed treatment features the patented auxin-dominant three-way plant growth regulator growers have come to rely on from the Ascend family of products to get soybeans off to a strong start. It has been formulated with optimized ratios of auxins specific for early-season stress mitigation as a seed treatment. This provides a low use-rate for optimal drying and easier handling.
“Early planting offers greater yield potential but requires risk mitigation to combat unpredictable conditions,” said Joe Rickard, Crop Protection Product Manager, WinField United. “Ascend ST3 seed treatment is the latest addition to our seed treatment portfolio designed to help growers get maximum potential return from their seed investment.”
