South Africa - Strong turnout at Pannar’s Ithuba Farm Farmer’s Day

South Africa
May 27, 2025

More than 60 farmers gathered last month at Ithuba Farm in Grootvlei, Mpumalanga, for a Farmers Day hosted by Pannar and Ithuba. The event kicked off with field tours showcasing yellow maize, white maize, and soybean trials.

Farmers also attended an insightful agronomy presentation by Pannar agronomist Kerry Rowlands on selecting the right hybrids for their environments. Kerry commended Ithuba Farm’s strong focus on soil fertility and sound decision-making, saying: “Pannar is privileged to have partnered with them for this Farmers Day, which was hugely valuable to those who attended.”

Caiphas Muyambo, the Pannar representative for the area and the host of this event, agreed with Kerry: “Ithuba Farm is a cooperative owned by six directors. They are dedicated to farming the right way and are now a committed customer of Pannar.” He added that more trials are planned with the farm for the 2025/26 season.

The day concluded with a lunch and networking session, giving the farmers a chance to connect and share insights.

Pannar is proud to be a part of this farming community’s stories!
