Warmenhuizen, The Netherlands
June 30, 2025
From 23 to 27 September 2025, Bejo will organise its annual Open Days in Warmenhuizen. Here, vegetable growers and chain partners from all over the world discover the latest varieties, innovations in seed technology and sustainable mechanisation. During the event, there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss opportunities and challenges within the field.

New varieties
Together with customers and relations, Bejo is constantly researching changing field conditions and evolving market and consumer trends. These insights form the basis for the development of new and improved vegetable varieties that enable growers to harvest healthy and tasty vegetables worldwide. The demo fields feature varieties with a focus on disease resistance, storage quality, yield, taste and appearance.
Innovative vegetable concepts
Bejo presents inspiring vegetable concepts that bring together taste, health and convenience in a surprising way. This year leafy crops will be highlighted. By invitation, an exclusive leafy vegetable symposium will take place: 'All you need for salad, Bejo has it!' The new red pointed cabbage variety Red Power and popular snack vegetables such as carrots, kohlrabi and celery will be displayed. In the greenhouse for fruit crops, Bejo will show a wide assortment of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and gherkins. The focus is on the latest developments and innovations within these crops.
Guided tours and demonstrations
Visitors will get an insight into the world of breeding, seed treatment and technology during tours of the Seed Processing Facility and Research Centre. The Seed Research Expo will give visitors an in-depth insight into current topics within seed research, such as seed quality, seed treatment and pollination. There will also be a focus on bee research by Bejo's own beekeepers. Live demonstrations of innovative sowing and weed control techniques will take place on the demo fields, provided by several suppliers to the agricultural sector. The use of natural enemies in various crops will also be shown.
