Grains Australia releases Malt Performance Summaries for two recently accredited malting barley varieties: Cyclops and Laperouse

Now available on the Grains Australia website, these resources offer analytical malt data that can help guide the industry on the anticipated quality outputs of these varieties.
Designed as a reference tool for industry stakeholders and customers, the summaries are informative but not statistically definitive and observed trends for the recently accredited malting varieties are based on a limited data set requiring further validation.
The summaries were developed with the support of the Grains Australia Malting and Brewing Industry Barley Technical Committee (MBIBTC) and Australian maltsters, whose expertise has been instrumental in delivering them.
