New and existing crops with potential In Ukraine.
There are opportunities for both new crops and the expansion of existing crops.
Examples include:
- New crops such as sweet potato, leek, and field beans.
- Expansion of existing crops such as peas for starch and soybeans for human consumption. The demand for plant-based proteins is growing strongly.
- Fiber crops such as hemp and flax, which can be grown on a larger scale and also contribute to soil regeneration.
