On 1 January 2026, Bendert de Graaf will join us as the new Domain Head for Plant and SeedHealth, Testing & Analyses (Dutch abbreviation: GT&A).
As Domain Head GT&A, Bendert provides direction for the strategic and operational development of the domain. The execution of our customer processes is central, with quality, innovation, and timeliness being key. In addition, he translates international trends and innovations into a future-proof strategy, promotes collaboration at a strategic level, and represents the organization in (inter)national bodies. He also works with colleagues on the technological and digital transformation of our laboratories.
Background
Bendert currently works at CCIC Europe Food Test BV. This laboratory focuses on the analysis of dairy products, with an emphasis on baby and infant nutrition. After completing his PhD in Molecular and Medical Genetics in Portland (Oregon, USA), he started working at Vitens, the largest drinking water company in the Netherlands, where he held project and management roles. In 2018, he transitioned to CCIC Europe Food Test B.V. in Lelystad, where he is a member of the management team. He is responsible for the daily operations of the organization, which specializes in chemical and microbiological analyses. At present, he is also a university lecturer at Amsterdam UMC, focusing on patient advocacy and personalized medicine.

Bendert sees the role at Naktuinbouw as a great challenge to work together with colleagues on the future of Naktuinbouw and to tackle complex issues. Bendert: “After the conversations with the management team, the MT, and the passionate employees from the domain, it felt like coming home. The ambition to improve processes and further digitize aligns well with my personal approach. That approach is: moving forward together, with openness, enjoyment in the work, and room to learn from each other.”
At the beginning of 2026, he will start getting acquainted with the sectors in which Naktuinbouw is active.
Bendert de Graaf nieuw domeinhoofd GT&A
Op 1 januari 2026 start Bendert de Graaf bij ons als nieuw domeinhoofd Gezondheid, Testen & Analyses (GT&A).
Als Domeinhoofd GT&A geeft Bendert richting aan de strategische en operationele ontwikkeling van het domein. Daarbij staat de uitvoering van onze klantprocessen centraal, waarbij kwaliteit, vernieuwing en tijdigheid belangrijk zijn. Verder vertaalt hij internationale trends en innovaties naar een toekomstbestendige strategie, stimuleert samenwerking op strategisch niveau en vertegenwoordigt de organisatie in (inter)nationale gremia. Ook werkt hij met collega’s aan de technologische en digitale transformatie van onze laboratoria.
Achtergrond
Bendert werkt nu bij CCIC Europe Food Test BV. Dit laboratorium richt zich op de analyse van zuivelproducten, gefocust op baby- en kindervoeding. Na zijn PhD Moleculaire en Medische Genetica in Portland (Oregon, USA) ging hij aan de slag bij Vitens. Dit is het grootste drinkwaterbedrijf van Nederland. Daar had hij project- en managementrollen. In 2018 maakte hij de overstap naar CCIC Europe Food Test B.V. in Lelystad. Daar is hij lid van de directie. Hij draagt zorg voor de dagelijkse aansturing van de organisatie, die zich richt op chemische en microbiologische analyses. Op dit moment is hij ook universitair docent aan Amsterdam UMC. Hij richt zich daar op patiënten belangenbehartiging & gepersonaliseerde geneeskunde.

Bendert ziet de rol bij Naktuinbouw als een mooie uitdaging om samen met de collega’s te werken aan toekomst van Naktuinbouw. En te werken aan ingewikkelde dossiers. Bendert: "Na de gesprekken met de directie, het MT en de bevlogen medewerkers uit het domein voelde het als thuiskomen. De ambitie om processen te verbeteren en verder te digitaliseren sluit goed aan bij mijn persoonlijke aanpak. Die aanpak is: samen vooruit, met openheid, plezier in het werk en ruimte om van elkaar te leren."
Begin 2026 gaat hij kennis maken met de sectoren waar Naktuinbouw actief is.
