Pivot Bio, one of the world’s leading innovative agtech companies, today announced Bruce Schnicker has joined the company as vice president of product development. In this role, Schnicker will be responsible for overseeing product development lifecycle from early-stage grower-oriented discovery to solution design and commercialization. He will report to Travis Frey, chief technology officer.
Schnicker joins Pivot Bio from Bayer, where he led multiple organizations focused on developing and deploying agricultural innovations across genetics, traits, crop management systems, and digital technologies, spanning both R&D and commercial platforms. Over more than two decades, he has driven impact across more than twenty crops and led global teams throughout North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

A graduate of Iowa State University, Schnicker holds a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in plant breeding and genetics. Beyond his industry work, he partners with nonprofit organizations on clean water initiatives and the development of sustainable food systems in underserved communities around the world.
