Numanac announces pilot with University of California, Davis to advance their Student Farm data ecosystem

Sacramento, California, USA
July 17, 2025

Numanac, an AI-powered agricultural technology company, is proud to announce a pilot partnership with the University of California, Davis, to support the development of the university’s Student Farm data ecosystem and advance research-driven agricultural innovation.

As part of the pilot, UC Davis will deploy Numanac’s AI-powered, voice-first farm management platform to simplify data capture and enhance recordkeeping for growers and researchers. By enabling natural, conversational logging of daily activities, Numanac eliminates the need for manual data entry and spreadsheets, streamlining the way farm operations are documented and analyzed.

“We’re thrilled to partner with UC Davis, which is one of the most respected agricultural institutions in the world,” said Daniel Lee, CEO and Co-founder of Numanac. “This collaboration represents a critical milestone in our mission to remove the barriers to farmer digitization, empower farmers, and create a data-rich foundation across the agricultural value chain.”

Numanac’s AI-driven system is designed to support smallholder and commercial farms alike, offering voice-to-structured-data functionality on-field to enable unprecedented data capture. The partnership with UC Davis will allow researchers and farm operators to test the platform’s capabilities in real-world conditions and provide valuable feedback to shape future development.

This pilot is the first in a series of ongoing partnerships Numanac is building with agricultural institutions, lenders, processors, and farmer cooperatives to accelerate industry-wide digitization. With 500 million smallholder farmers worldwide still operating without a comprehensive digital tool, Numanac is positioned to become the foundational data infrastructure for agriculture in the age of AI.
