Beck’s Hybrids to host 53 winter grower meetings

Atlanta, Indiana, USA
January 9, 2012

Beck’s Hybrids will host 53 grower meetings across Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan throughout January and February. The meetings will summarize key topics and findings from Beck’s 2011 Practical Farm Research (PFR®).

Farming consists of many links that come together to form strong yields. For 75 years, Beck’s has helped farmers connect the right links to improve yields and profits. Beck’s PFR is focused with the farmer in mind and provides a comprehensive look at how different management practices and new technologies perform in field environments. In 2011, Beck’s conducted more than 65 different studies across multiple locations.

“Each year we strive to evaluate critical variables that affect a farmer’s bottom-line,” said Scott Beck, vice president of Beck’s Hybrids. “We then share the research in our annual PFR Book, field shows and winter meetings for farmers to implement on their farms.”

Key topics to be addressed include multi-location data from all four Beck’s PFR sites; 300 bushel attempt for corn; efficient use of nitrogen; Crop Health Imaging; managing and tracking rainfall with the use of MyRainScout.com; weed resistance; and discovering the right time for corn fungicide applications. Winter meeting attendees will be awarded one subscription to MyRainScout.com at each location.

For a complete list of meeting dates, times and to register, visit www.beckshybrids.com or call 800.937.2325.

To ensure your reservation, please RSVP no later than three business days prior to the meeting of your choice.
