Cornelius Seed announces two key sales management positions

Bellevue, Iowa, USA
April 1, 2013

Cornelius Seed is pleased to announce two key sales management positions.

David C. Aeschliman has been named as Cornelius Seed’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing and will assume his position April 1. His responsibilities will include oversight of all sales and marketing, as well as participating in product line selection, genetic trait selection, pricing, promotion programs and relationship management with trait providers.

Aeschliman brings 37 years of agricultural sales and marketing experience to Cornelius Seed. He has worked with DeKalb Seed, Wyffels Hybrids, Americana, Syngenta and Miller Hybrids in the seed industry either directly or through his marketing firm. In additional, he has counseled more than 200 companies with strategic growth plans.

Mark Grosskruger will continue to serve as Sales Director for Cornelius Seed through the completion of the 2013 season. Mark has been with Cornelius Seed since 1999 and served as a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), District Sales Manager and Sales Director.

Mark has been named District Sales Manager of Cornelius Seed for its home-based district of eastern Iowa. He will manage sales and work closely with seed reps in Dubuque, Jackson, Clinton, Scott and Muscatine counties beginning with the 2014 season.

“As the company continues to grow, this is a pivotal time for us to expand our staff as well with industry experts such as David and Mark,” said Chuck Cornelius, President of Cornelius Seed. “David has been behind the scenes as a consultant for the company for many years and we are thrilled that he has agreed to join our team and bring his wealth of marketing and seed industry experience to the front office. Mark has been and will continue to be a valuable member of our sales force. Combined, their sales and marketing insight will take Cornelius Seed to a new level in the coming years.”

Cornelius Seed celebrates its 78th year in 2013 and is one of the oldest seed companies in the industry, and is one of the few independent, farm family-owned companies. Offering regional seed corn, soybeans and alfalfa, Cornelius Seed provides its customers with the industry's leading genetics, traits and service which maximize profit on every acre. The fourth and fifth generation of the Cornelius family own and operate the business today.
