Record orders for Ried's special machine constructor: Year gets off to good start as Upper Austria-based Wintersteiger AG records highest volume of orders in company's history thanks to large number of contracts in Seedmech Division.
Quality is always in demand. But in economically difficult times in particular, quality really does pay off. As a result, at the end of January 2010 the special machine constructor Wintersteiger announced the largest volume of orders it has ever had. This relates to the Seedmech Division which supplies complete solutions for agricultural field experimentation.
The extremely gratifying order book for harvesting machines and plot seeders comes specifically on the back of an innovative new development: The Dynamic Disc precision spaced planter for maize and soybean crops. Markus Piber, Engineer and Director of Sales and Marketing explains the development process as follows, "The customer had very precise ideas of how the machine should look so that it best complemented the company's specific structure." "Even in the past we have always tried to implement the special requests of our major customers. In this case, a precision spaced planter was adapted specifically to the customer's needs."

The new Dynamic Disc precision spaced planter delivers a very high planting speed and maximum precision. The high-performance machine is also impressive due to its effective planting documentation and modular construction which enables easy attachment of the various options.
Wintersteiger 2010: Focus on Research
As far as future trends go, the company will continue to focus on research and development in 2010.
