Independent Professional Seed Association appoints Todd Martin as Chief Executive Officer

Seward, Nebraska, USA
February 4, 2015

The Board of Directors of the Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA), is proud to announce the appointment of Todd Martin to the role as Chief Executive Officer for the association, effective March 1, 2015. "We are excited to have Todd join IPSA. With his enthusiastic approach to the seed industry and his business experience, he will bring a new perspective to the association," said IPSA President Terry Schultz, Mustang Seeds, Madison, South Dakota.

Todd started his career with Merrill Lynch after graduating from the University of Arkansas. He previously has been a part of Syngenta and legacy companies since 1990 and served in both Crop Protection and Seeds. In those areas he has held various roles in sales, marketing, business development and global traits. Many independent seed companies knew Todd when he assumed the role of Head, Independent Seeds for Syngenta in 2009. Todd will replace Greg Ruehle, who stepped down in January after 10 years of service to the association. Todd currently lives outside of Memphis, Tenn. with his wife Marti.

About the Independent Professional Seed Assn.

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) was formed in 1989 by a group of independent seed producers who recognized the need for an organization to represent independent seed companies world-wide. The Association addresses research and biotechnology issues and increases the media presence of the industry in an increasingly competitive and dynamic business climate. IPSA represents approximately 100 seed companies from throughout the US and Canada, who produce and market a significant portion of the corn, soybeans, small grain and forage seeds planted annually.
