One of the premises of the PETKUS Academy is to establish a link between the scientific community and industry. The PRoF-project („PETKUS Research of the Future“) was initiated as an interdisciplinary scientific network to do exactly that. Eleven scientists from the fields of mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, seed technology, phytopathology, environmental engineering, economics and electrical technology were invited to the kick-off event in Wutha-Farnroda.

The high complexity of modern seed and grain technology increasingly demands the application of new tools, embedded (computer) systems and the accompanying consulting service. In order to meet and satisfy the growing needs of its customers, PETKUS is investing in innovations and knowledge-based technologies. In close cooperation with the scientific community and with the recently created network, the basis for new stimuli and ideas has been created.
With the PRoF-project, The PETKUS Academy will further intensify networking and information exchange between industry experts. The initiation of joint projects, the promotion of young talents as well as interdisciplinary brainstorming and idea implementation will help turn knowledge into expertise.
