The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has amended the import health standard (IHS) 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock under section 24A of the Biosecurity Act (1993). The IHS, dated 8 March, replaces the earlier version of the standard, dated 27 February 2017.

The IHS has been amended to reflect the change in name of different levels of post entry quarantine (PEQ) greenhouse under the new Facility Standard: Post Entry Quarantine for Plants (MPI.STD.PEQ), which took full effect on 8 March 2017. Under the new facility standard, Level 3B PEQ is the equivalent of the former Level 3 PEQ. As such, the nursery stock IHS has been updated to change the name of the level of PEQ from Level 3 to Level 3B for all species which require quarantine in this level of facility.
