Bayer organizes Second All-Russian Carrot Business Forum in Krasnodar, Southern Russia

The Second All-Russian Carrot Business Forum, with focus on storage of carrots, was held in Krasnodar on November 27, 2017. It brought together more than 50 industry representatives and storage experts from Russia. The slogan of the Summit – Point of growth for your business – aimed at the development and expansion of carrot business in Russia.

The composition of participants and their geography contributed to the success of the event. The companies growing carrot in the Central region, Volga region, the Caucasus, the Urals, and Western and Eastern Siberia that attended, represented with their 4,000 ha almost 20% of the carrot market in Russia.

The experts reviewed the global and Russian storage segment in carrot. They shared their views on new trends, know-how and technologies. Reviewing and discussing both global and local markets identified clear challenges and a solution strategy.

The Forum promoted an intensive interaction between growers and experts and discussions went on during the final dinner. The Russian growers used it to exchange their experiences and to tap into valuable firsthand information from European experts. The information and contacts will help them in their business development in a competitive environment.

The participants highly appreciated the contribution of Bayer to the industry's development and expressed their wish to make the Forum a traditional event and to meet annually for sharing experience and plans.
