PETKUS Academy Forum: Science meets Business

Within its scientific network and the framework of the PRoF project (www.petkus.com/academy), the PETKUS Academy hosted 25 guests from reputable key accounts and universities/research institutes. In addition to meet and greet, the international audience discussed future seed processing trends with special regard to precision quality sorting.
Challenges in separating according germination capacity, the potential of fluorescence as separating principle as well as technological alternatives for pea shelling and milling were in the focus. These topics were intensively addressed by the invited speakers Prof. Michael Kruse (Universität Hohenheim), Jan Kodde (Wageningen University) and Rosemarie Schneeweiß (Institute of Food & Environmental Sciences). The presentations resulted in a lively panel discussion.
It was an excellent and exclusive forum to bring science and business together for intensive knowledge share and information exchange, so the unanimous feedback.
