Tomatoes: less nitrogen, top results

On Friday 6 February Ed Moerman (Koppert's NatuGro knowledge & System Development) gave a presentation about the reduced use of nitrogen with top results in tomatoes.
Good yields in tomato production are possible in spite of the reductions in nitrogen levels. Biostimulants and microorganisms improve the vitality and resistance of crops, further reducing the need of corrective applications of agrochemicals. Overall, nitrogen levels, both NH4+ and NO3-, can be reduced by almost 20 per cent on average, meanwhile increasing yields.
