Stine to market Enlist E3 Expance soybean trait technology

Adel, Iowa, USA
February 26, 2026

Stine® Seed Company representatives joined MS Technologies®, LLC, and Syngenta® at Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas, this week to announce plans to market Enlist E3® Expance™ soybeans, which are anticipated for commercial launch in 2029, pending regulatory approvals. This innovative trait technology is set to provide farmers with a powerful new tool to strengthen their soybean weed control programs.

Stine® to market Enlist E3® Expance™ soybean trait technology

Enlist E3 Expance offers tolerance to more active ingredients than any other soybean trait stack on the market, including glyphosate, glufosinate, 2,4-D choline and multiple HPPD inhibitor chemistries.

Stine President Myron Stine attended the official name reveal in San Antonio on Wednesday to discuss with growers why the trait stack is important for their operations.

“Farmers need more flexibility in increasingly unpredictable planting seasons,” says Stine. “With the added herbicide tolerance in Enlist E3 Expance soybeans, farmers can adapt more quickly to weed control challenges by expanding their herbicide strategies to include proven chemistries already widely used in corn, without sacrificing control or performance.”

Delivering value to the farmer

With multiherbicide-tolerant weeds on the rise, soybean growers today face complex input decisions throughout the crop production cycle. Fortunately, with the introduction of Enlist E3 Expance, they will have expanded tolerance to a broader range of trusted herbicide chemistries for more flexibility in early-season weed control.

Built on the long-trusted and proven Enlist E3 trait stack, Enlist E3 Expance will have tolerance to industry-leading preemergence HPPD inhibitors, including mesotrione, bicyclopyrone and isoxaflutole chemistries.

“This trait stack packs a punch against the industry’s toughest and most resistant weeds, such as Palmer amaranth and waterhemp. The technology will provide soybean farmers with broader weed control options while preserving whole-farm flexibility and keeping operations simple."

Myron Stine, Stine Seed Company president

In addition to expanded weed management options for soybean farmers, Enlist E3 Expance offers the potential for higher yields when paired with Stine genetics.
