Cornelius Seed is pleased to announce the addition of Jay Magnussen as the new District Sales Manager and Western Iowa Agronomist.
Magnussen brings more than 15 years of agronomy experience to the Cornelius Seed Sales Team, along with a strong passion for helping farmers improve profitability, sustainability and soil health. He joins Cornelius Seed after serving as a Conservation Agronomist with Pro Cooperative, where he worked directly with growers to implement sustainable farming practices, manage soil carbon programs, and explore emerging opportunities in conservation agriculture.
Throughout his career, Magnussen has built a reputation for delivering practical agronomic solutions and exceptional customer service. His background includes leadership roles as Agronomy Manager at Archer Cooperative Grain Company and Sales Agronomist with Ag Partners. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), certified commercial applicator, and holds agronomy degrees from South Dakota State University and Iowa Lakes Community College.
Magnussen lives near Paullina, Iowa, with his wife, Fran, and two children.
